Mihir Shah, the central figure in the BMW hit-and-run case and son of a Shiv Sena politician, was reportedly driving under the influence of alcohol when he fatally collided with a two-wheeler, resulting in the death of Kaveri Nakhwa, according to Mumbai police.

In an effort to unravel the sequence of events, a police probe team recreated the accident scene. Shah, along with his family driver and co-accused Rajrishi Bidawat, who was present in the car during the crash, was confronted by investigators.

The incident occurred on Worli's Anni Besant Road, where Shah's BMW hit the two-wheeler from behind. The victim was dragged for over 1.5 kilometers before Shah sped off towards the Bandra Worli Sea Link. Arrested from Virar Phata in Palghar district, he remains in police custody as more details emerge.
