A SpiceJet employee, Anuradha Rani, was apprehended Thursday following an altercation in which she allegedly slapped a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer over security screening procedures, authorities reported. SpiceJet termed the incident a severe sexual harassment case.

Closed-circuit television footage reveals the CISF officer in conversation with Rani, who then approaches him and slaps him. The incident escalated when Rani, stopped by the officer for allegedly lacking proper entry authorization, was asked to wait for a female CISF personnel to conduct screening.

Rani was sent to judicial custody by a local court. According to Assistant Sub Inspector Giriraj Prasad's complaint, Rani claims the officer used inappropriate language and invited her to his home after duty hours. The CISF has launched an investigation with CCTV footage showing about six individuals present during the altercation.
