On Friday, the Supreme Court granted interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the Enforcement Directorate's money laundering case connected to the alleged excise policy scam. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) described the verdict as a 'victory of truth' and a 'defeat of the BJP's conspiracy.'
However, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) argued that the court's decision was not a victory for the AAP, asserting that it affirmed Kejriwal's guilt in the case. Delhi BJP Chief Virendra Sachdeva said Kejriwal should resign from his duties as chief minister, citing the court's restrictions on his activities.
Despite the apex court's ruling, Kejriwal remains in jail due to a separate corruption case led by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). AAP leaders, including Atishi and Sandeep Pathak, held a joint press conference calling the Supreme Court's order 'historic' and accused the BJP of orchestrating a conspiracy against Kejriwal.
