Property Worth Crores Seized in Kulgam in Drug Trafficking Case
Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir seized property worth crores of rupees belonging to a suspected drug peddler, Abdul Rashid Rather. The properties, including a double-storeyed house and a commercial building, were allegedly acquired through illicit trafficking in narcotics. Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have seized property worth crores of rupees belonging to a suspected drug peddler in Kulgam's Qazigund area, police said on Friday. The properties, which include a double-storeyed residential house and a residential-cum-commercial building, are situated along the national highway.
The seized assets belong to Abdul Rashid Rather of Bonigam Qazigund and were attached under section 68-F(2) of the NDPS Act, according to a police spokesperson. The properties were identified as illegally acquired through illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
Abdul Rashid Rather is currently lodged in Central Jail Kotbhalwal in Jammu. Authorities continue to investigate the extent of his involvement in the drug trafficking network.
