The incident occurred on Friday in the Kilaghat locality during the Muharram procession, where a youth was seen waving a Palestinian flag, according to Munna Khan, the head of the district Muharram committee. The flag was promptly seized by committee members.

The district police have been notified, and an investigation has commenced. '... An investigation has been launched by the police into the matter and appropriate action will be taken against those found guilty. The video of this incident is being examined,' stated Jagunath Reddy, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Darbhanga, to reporters on Saturday.
