Amit Shah Emphasizes Employment, Connectivity in Border Villages

Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted the need for employment and connectivity in border villages to prevent migration. Reviewing the 'Vibrant Villages Programme,' Shah underscored the central government's commitment to all-round development, using local products, and renewable energy. The initiative includes 4G connectivity and tourism projects.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday emphasized the urgent need to create employment opportunities and improve connectivity in border villages to curb migration from these regions.

During a review of the 'Vibrant Villages Programme' at a high-level meeting, Shah directed senior ministers and officials to continue efforts to understand and address the issues facing border villages. He highlighted the Modi government's commitment to the all-round development of these areas.

Shah also urged central armed police forces and the Army to buy local agricultural and handicraft products through cooperatives and make their healthcare facilities available to nearby residents. He promoted maximum use of renewable energy sources like solar and wind energy. So far, over 6,000 events have been organized, and more than 600 projects have been sanctioned for employment generation under the VVP.
