Israel Bus Stop Attack: Four Injured, Suspect Neutralized

Four people were wounded, one critically, in a suspected attack when a vehicle rammed into a bus stop in central Israel on Sunday, according to Israeli authorities. The suspect, believed to be a resident of east Jerusalem, was shot and neutralized by security forces at the scene, stated Avi Biton, police central district commander.

"The terrorist, traveling east to west, ran over several Israelis at a bus stop, continued a few hundred meters, performed a u-turn, and executed another ramming attack at a different bus stop," Biton reported. Authorities are currently searching the area near the city of Ramle for potential accomplices.

This incident surfaces amidst increased violence in Israel during its ongoing military campaign in Gaza against Hamas, following the militant group's violent incursion into southern Israel on October 7.
