Clash Over Alleged Black Magic Leads to Fatality in Hadiya Kala

A tragic incident unfolded in Hadiya Kala village when a feud over alleged black magic led to the death of 45-year-old Raj Muni Devi. The conflict arose after the parents of a girl, who died nearly 1,280 km away in Kolkata, accused Devi of practicing sorcery to cause their daughter's death.
Police stated that Devi, along with four others, sustained injuries during the altercation on Saturday night. Devi later succumbed to her injuries in a nearby hospital. Bairia area's Police Circle Officer, Mohammad Usman, confirmed the fatality and revealed that a case has been registered against seven individuals based on a complaint filed by Devi's son, Santosh.
Three of the accused have been apprehended, while further investigation into the matter continues. The devastating event has left the community in shock, highlighting the severe repercussions of superstitious beliefs.
