A 32-year-old man in Khammam district of Telangana has been apprehended for allegedly killing his wife and two young daughters, while attempting to portray their deaths as a road accident, authorities revealed on Sunday.

The suspect, employed as a physiotherapist in Hyderabad, had an affair with a hospital nurse and reportedly committed the murders to continue his extramarital relationship, police stated.

Following an argument with his wife, the accused orchestrated a plan where he injected his 26-year-old wife with a high-dose anaesthesia drug and smothered his daughters, aged four and two-and-a-half years, before staging a car crash. Forensic evidence and autopsy reports led to his arrest, and he has been booked under sections 302 and 201 of the IPC.
