Three Arrested for Waving Palestinian Flag in Bihar's Muharram Procession

Police arrested three individuals in Bihar's Nawada district for allegedly waving a Palestinian flag during a Muharram procession. The incident occurred in the Dhamaula area and involved procession activities conducted without official permission. An investigation led to the confiscation of the flag, following a similar incident in Darbhanga district.

Authorities in Bihar's Nawada district apprehended three individuals on Sunday for allegedly displaying a Palestinian flag during a Muharram procession, as reported by an official on Monday.

An investigation was initiated after a video surfaced showing the individuals waving the flag. Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Pakribarawan, Mahesh Choudhary, confirmed that the arrests were made based on findings from the investigation.

Choudhary additionally noted that the procession lacked the required permissions from authorities, leading to the immediate seizure of the flag. Notably, a similar incident occurred in Darbhanga district on July 13, where two people were also booked for waving a Palestinian flag during a Muharram event.
