The Delhi High Court has extended the deadline for the Centre to decide on office space for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) until July 25. This comes after the Directorate of Estates cited a heavy workload in accommodating parliamentarians.
The AAP opposed the extension, emphasizing that similar national parties have already been provided office spaces. The Supreme Court had previously granted them an extension until August 10 to vacate their current Rouse Avenue office.
Justice Sanjeev Narula stated that no further extensions would be entertained. The high court affirmed that national parties have the right to office space and urged the Centre to comply with this directive.
