Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Tuesday announced a forthcoming meeting set for July 27 with all MLAs and MPs of Bengaluru to enhance coordination among the city's various agencies for better governance.

Addressing opposition concerns during the Question Hour in the Legislative Assembly, Shivakumar, who also oversees Bengaluru Development, acknowledged partial successes in improving inter-agency coordination over the past year. He emphasized the need for cooperation from opposition members to address critical issues such as traffic congestion, drinking water, waste disposal, and street lights.

Speaker U T Khader suggested conducting the meeting outside the House, and Shivakumar agreed to organize it after the current session concludes on July 26. Rajajinagar MLA Suresh Kumar stressed the importance of agency coordination under 'Brand Bengaluru,' calling for the creation of an umbrella organization for effective collaboration. Other MLAs echoed similar concerns, underscoring the equitable distribution of grants and addressing the city's pothole issues.
