Odisha Government Reshuffles Key IAS Officers

The Odisha government has reassigned senior IAS officer Roopa Roshan Sahoo from her role as special secretary in the CM's office to a full-time position as commissioner-cum-secretary of the ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department. This follows the appointment of Arindam Dakua as private secretary to the chief minister.

In a notable administrative reshuffle, the Odisha government has relieved senior IAS officer Roopa Roshan Sahoo from her role as special secretary in the Chief Minister's Office. This move comes a day after the appointment of Arindam Dakua as the private secretary to the chief minister.

Sahoo, a 2006 batch IAS officer, will now serve full-time as the commissioner-cum-secretary of the ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department, as stated in a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department.

According to the notification, "Roopa Roshan Sahoo, Special Secretary to Chief Minister, Odisha with additional charge of Commissioner-cum-secretary, ST & SC development department, M & BCW department is appointed as Commissioner-cum-secretary to Government, ST &SC Development M & BCW department."
