Delegation Presses for Separate Bhil State in Rally

A delegation plans to meet President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to propose a separate state for the Bhil community. The demand was reiterated at a rally in Rajasthan's Banswara district, led by MP Rajkumar Roat and other tribal leaders. The Bhartiya Adivasi Party (BAP) is strongly backing the proposal.

A delegation is set to meet President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to propose the formation of a separate state for the Bhil community, announced MP Rajkumar Roat during a rally at Mangarh Dham in Rajasthan's Banswara district.

A significant gathering of Bhil tribe members from neighboring states such as Gujarat and Rajasthan took place at Mangarh Dham, a site of great cultural importance for the community, to attend the public meeting.

In the assembly organized by tribal leaders, newly elected MP Roat insisted that the creation of a 'Bhil state' is overdue and that the Bhartiya Adivasi Party (BAP) is fully committed to advocating for this cause.

'The demand for Bhil Pradesh is not new. The BAP is raising this demand strongly,' declared Roat.

'After this mega rally, a delegation will meet the President and the Prime Minister with the proposal,' said the tribal MP.

Roat added that he would also bring up the issue in the Lok Sabha.

MLAs Umesh Meena from Aspur and Thawarchand Bhil from Dhariyawad participated in the rally wearing T-shirts emblazoned with slogans demanding 'Bhil state'.

'The sacrifice of over 1,500 tribals at Mangarh in 1913 was not just for the Bhakti movement, but also for the demand of Bhil province,' Roat later stated in a social media post.

The tribal community has been advocating the creation of a 'Bhil state' by combining 49 districts across Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh.
