Officials announced on Thursday that two individuals and a juvenile, identified as 'the main shooter', have been arrested in connection with the GTB Hospital shooting incident, which resulted in the death of 32-year-old Riyazuddin. The suspects mistook him for notorious criminal Waseem, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Surendra Choudhary confirmed.

The juvenile and the suspects, Foujan (20) and Saif (19), were apprehended in northwest Delhi’s Brahampuri area while planning to flee. The juvenile frequently displayed pistols on social media to gain followers, the DCP added. The shooting resulted from a vendetta involving the Waseem gang and threats directed at Faiz's brother, Allu, while in jail.

Anas, who masterminded the attack, provided the shooters with weapons and a plan to target Waseem, admitted to GTB Hospital. On July 14, the suspects, using a motorcycle, executed the plan but killed Riyazuddin in a case of mistaken identity. So far, six individuals, including one juvenile, have been arrested in connection with the case.
