A physiotherapist at Kozhikode beach hospital has come under scrutiny following accusations of molesting a woman patient. The accused, identified as 29-year-old B Mahendran Nair from Thiruvananthapuram, allegedly misbehaved with the patient during a session earlier this week.

The Vellayil police confirmed receiving the complaint on Thursday and promptly registered a case under sections 75, 76, and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Section 75 addresses using criminal force to outrage a woman's modesty, while sections 76 and 79 pertain to voyeurism and insulting acts, respectively.

The hospital's authorities were immediately informed, and they have since forwarded the complaint to the police for further investigation. Although a probe has been initiated, no arrests have been made. Concurrently, the Health department has taken provisional action by suspending the accused health worker.
