Heroin Trafficking Ring Busted in Hyderabad

Four individuals were arrested in Hyderabad for attempting to sell heroin, with one kilogram of the drug worth Rs 7 crore seized. The operation was conducted jointly by the Cyberabad Police and Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau. Investigations are ongoing to identify potential buyers.

In a significant drug bust, four individuals were arrested in Hyderabad for allegedly attempting to sell heroin, which was seized during a joint operation by the Cyberabad Police and Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau. The seized narcotic drug is estimated to be worth Rs 7 crore.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty stated that the arrests were made under the Madhapur Police station limits, resulting in the recovery of one kilogram of heroin. The main accused, originating from Rajasthan, had sourced the heroin and MDMA from a key peddler currently incarcerated in Jodhpur jail.

The drugs were brought to Hyderabad with the intention to sell, facilitated by accomplices. The police acted on credible information to apprehend the suspects. Further investigations are underway to determine the intended recipients of the heroin.
