High-Level Security Review in J&K

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi chaired a series of high-level security review meetings in Jammu and Kashmir, focusing on counter-terrorism operations and preventing cross-border infiltration. Senior officials from BSF, CRPF, intelligence agencies, and J&K Police were also present at the meetings.

In response to escalating terror activities and cross-border infiltration, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi convened several high-level security review meetings on Saturday, according to an official source.

Meetings held at the Raj Bhawan and police headquarters saw participation from BSF, CRPF, J&K Police, intelligence agencies, and senior security officials. General Dwivedi led the initial meeting at the police headquarters, which lasted over an hour, before joining LG Sinha for another session at the Raj Bhawan.

Sinha emphasized the need for coordinated counter-terrorism efforts and strengthening the security grid to eliminate cross-border infiltration. General Dwivedi's recent visits to Jammu coincide with two terror attacks that claimed the lives of nine army personnel. Both military and home ministry officials underscored their commitment to eradicating terrorism in the region through joint operations.
