The crime took place under the jurisdiction of the Sinduria police station. According to authorities, the couple fled the scene immediately after the attack.

Sinduria police station in-charge, Dinesh Kumar, confirmed that a case was registered against the couple following a complaint by Shyamdei's younger son. Police efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the accused.
