Delhi Police Budget Reduced by 6% in Union Budget 2024-25
The Union Budget 2024-25 has allocated Rs 11,400.81 crore to Delhi Police, a six per cent decrease from the previous fiscal. The funds will cover routine expenses and various schemes, including upgrading traffic systems and communication networks. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget in Parliament.

The Union Budget 2024-25 has allocated Rs 11,400.81 crore to Delhi Police, marking a six per cent decrease from the last fiscal year.
In the financial year 2023-2024, Rs 11,932.03 crore was initially allocated but later revised to Rs 12,128.83 crore. The reduction impacts routine expenses and schemes like developing a model traffic system and upgrading communication networks in the NCR.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled the budget in Parliament on Tuesday. Delhi Police, responsible for maintaining law and order in the National Capital Territory, will use the funds to enhance infrastructure, incorporate latest technology, and train personnel.
