Police Nab Gang Selling Stolen Silver and Idols in Maharashtra
Police in Thane district, Maharashtra, have apprehended five individuals attempting to sell 3 kg of silver and idols stolen from a shop in Daman. The gang is reportedly involved in multiple crimes across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka. The arrest followed a tip-off and a well-planned police operation.

Police in Maharashtra's Thane district have arrested five individuals accused of attempting to sell 3 kg of silver and idols stolen from a shop in Daman, officials reported on Wednesday.
The suspects allegedly broke into the shop located about 200 km from Mumbai and looted the items along with other valuables. Senior inspector Yogesh Awhad from Crime Unit-II in Bhiwandi stated the arrests were made following a tip-off received on Tuesday regarding the sale of stolen goods in Bhiwandi.
Further investigations revealed that the gang has committed several other crimes in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka.
