A couple in Gurugram faces allegations of duping a woman out of Rs 2.5 lakh under the guise of securing a college seat for her daughter, police revealed on Wednesday.
The complainant has named Sweety Mazumdar, owner of Admission Tracks Private Limited in Saket, Delhi, and her husband Akhil Khan.
The mother asserted that the couple promised her daughter's admission to a renowned law college after taking Rs 6 lakh, of which Rs 3.5 lakh was returned.
A senior officer confirmed that an FIR has been lodged and action will follow after fact verification.
