Russian Man Detained in Turkey After Moscow Bombing Incident
Turkish authorities have detained a Russian man, Evgenii Serebriakov, allegedly involved in a bombing in Moscow that injured two people. The suspect fled to Turkey shortly after the attack and was apprehended in Bodrum. The Russian Interpol informed Turkish authorities about his travel plans.
A Russian man, identified as Evgenii Serebriakov, has been detained by Turkish authorities following a bomb attack in Moscow that left two people injured, according to an announcement by Turkiye's interior minister.
Reports indicate that a vehicle in a northern Moscow parking lot was blown up early Wednesday, resulting in injuries to a man and a woman. The suspect fled to Bodrum, a Turkish resort town, on a direct Aeroflot flight from Moscow and was apprehended just hours after his arrival.
Turkish officials were alerted to Serebriakov's presence by Russia's Interpol, although his immediate inclusion in the Interpol wanted persons database was circumvented, allowing him to enter Turkiye as a tourist. The two injured individuals have yet to be publicly identified, but sources suggest one is a military general staff colonel.
