Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi reviewed the preparedness of forces on the Line of Control in Kashmir Valley for counter-infiltration and counter-terrorism missions on Thursday, according to official sources.
The Chief of Army Staff subsequently headed to Kargil to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
Upon his arrival on Wednesday, General Dwivedi, accompanied by Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and other military and civil dignitaries, honored Naik Dilawar Khan, who sacrificed his life during an anti-terror operation in Kupwara.
