National Recruitment Agency's Comprehensive Reform Study

The National Recruitment Agency (NRA) is analyzing the existing recruitment systems in central and state governments to ensure free and fair examinations, the Rajya Sabha was informed on Thursday.
Tasked with conducting online exams for government job aspirants, the NRA received approval in 2020 from the Union cabinet. Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh confirmed that the NRA is studying the prevalent procedures of various Public Examination Authorities (PEAs) and addressing potential issues in the new examination system to maintain fairness.
Responding to a query about the NRA's activities since its inception, Singh mentioned that the agency is developing protocols and policy frameworks to mitigate challenges in the new examination regime and ensure compliance with normative standards. He also noted that four Governing Body meetings have been convened since the NRA began operating from its headquarters in New Delhi.
