Israeli military forces have successfully retrieved the bodies of five hostages held in a Gaza tunnel, deep underground, according to spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari.
The operation in Khan Younis was conducted using intelligence analyzed in recent weeks. The hostages' bodies were found in a branched tunnel around 200 meters long and 20 meters beneath the surface.
The victims included a kindergarten teacher from southern Israel and four soldiers, all taken hostage during the Hamas attack on October 7.
