The jawan, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, was stationed at the Shila outpost. The event occurred around 11.30 pm on Thursday, according to Mayank Kumar, Officer-in-Charge of Simaria police station.
The body has been transported to Sadar Hospital, Chatra for a postmortem examination. Further investigation into the case is underway, the police officer confirmed.
