In a distressing incident at the Delhi airport, Assistant Sub-Inspector Jagbir Singh attempted suicide due to severe migraine while on duty, police reported on Friday.

The incident took place on Thursday morning when Singh, stationed at the Domestic Airport police booth, shot himself with his service revolver. A note found at the scene indicated his health condition as the reason for his drastic action, an official confirmed.

Singh is presently receiving treatment, and an investigation into the incident is in progress.
