The Indian Army on Saturday successfully thwarted an attack by Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT) in Kamakari sector of Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, military sources reported.
The BAT, typically composed of Pakistan Army special forces and terrorists, had attempted the intrusion early in the morning.
'Action by Border Action Team has been foiled by alert Indian Army troops this morning in Kamakari Sector,' said one of the sources. 'One Pakistani intruder has been killed. Five personnel have suffered injuries in the ensuing operations,' the source added. Further details of the operation are awaited.
