Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressed satisfaction with the trust people place in the nation's courts and judges at the Platinum Jubilee of Rajasthan High Court.
Despite significant advancements in affordable and accessible justice, Birla emphasized the journey isn't complete until swift justice reaches every citizen. He praised India's democracy, noting its consolidation despite diverse challenges and growth from a Rs 175 crore budget in 1947 to Rs 48 lakh crore today.
Highlighting the judiciary's role, Birla urged collaboration among the democracy's three pillars—Legislature, Executive, and Judiciary—while maintaining independence. He appealed for the justice system to leverage technology for speedy case resolutions and welcomed new criminal laws aimed at quicker justice.
