Security has been intensified in Old Rajinder Nagar as protests erupted following the deaths of three civil service aspirants in a basement flood caused by heavy rainfall, officials reported on Monday.
Demonstrators have gathered at Rau's IAS Study Circle, demanding justice for the victims who perished on Saturday.
'We've deployed paramilitary forces and additional police to maintain law and order,' stated a senior police officer.
A massive protest also took place on Sunday when students blocked Pusa Road near Karol Bagh Metro Station.
'We urge everyone to maintain peace. Pusa Road is vital, with several nearby hospitals. We've barricaded the area and increased our presence to ensure no one is affected by the protest,' the officer added.
