Punjab CM Mann Criticizes Opposition for Neglecting Border Region Development

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann criticized opposition leaders for failing to develop the border region despite holding pivotal positions. Addressing a gathering after inaugurating a railway overpass, Mann highlighted his government's efforts in infrastructure and public welfare. He accused previous leaders, including Congress's Partap Singh Bajwa, of nepotism and self-interest.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday attacked opposition leaders for neglecting the development of border regions, despite representing these areas for a long time.

Speaking at the inauguration of a newly constructed railway overbridge near Dinanagar railway station in Gurdaspur district, Mann pointed out that leaders from these areas, such as Gurdaspur, Dinanagar, Dera Baba Nanak, Fatehgarh Churian, Qadian, Pathankot, and Sujanpur, held pivotal positions yet failed to focus on regional development and public welfare.

Mann specifically targeted Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa and his brother Fatehjang Singh Bajwa of the BJP for prioritizing personal power over public service. He highlighted his government's achievements, including closing 17 toll plazas, providing free electricity to 90% of households, and securing government jobs for over 43,000 youths. Mann claimed that unlike previous governments, his administration is committed to the all-round development of Punjab.
