Following the tragic deaths of three civil services aspirants due to flooding at a coaching centre in Delhi, the Madhya Pradesh government has moved swiftly to conduct a comprehensive survey of similar coaching centres across the state.

IAS aspirants Shreya Yadav, Tanya Soni, and Navin Dalwin lost their lives when Rau's IAS Study Circle library's basement got flooded on Saturday evening.

Seven people, including the coaching centre's owner and coordinator, have been taken into custody.

In a review meeting, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav mandated inspections to ensure the safety of coaching centres operating in basements. Municipal commissioners are now tasked with reviewing these facilities and ensuring proper safety and drainage measures.

Additional Chief Secretary Rajesh Rajoura and Principal Secretary Nikunj Kumar Srivastava both highlighted the need for immediate and effective action. Municipal commissioners will submit comprehensive reports on these facilities and their safety protocols.
