A 16-year-old boy from Pimpri Chinchwad near Pune allegedly jumped to his death from the 14th floor of a residential building. Police suspect his involvement in an online game may have contributed to the tragedy, with a 'log out' message found in his notebook.

The boy, reportedly addicted to online gaming as per his parents, left behind a purported suicide note. Deputy Commissioner of Police Swapna Gore revealed that the note also mentioned 'XD,' possibly referring to the online game he played. Authorities are probing the exact cause of the suicide.

The incident occurred around midnight on Thursday. The boy was a Class 10 student, with his father working in Nigeria and his mother, an engineer, serving as a homemaker. Police have seized his laptop and are working with cyber experts to unlock it.

Additional evidence, including three drawings resembling building maps and instructions on how to commit 'suicide,' was found. Investigators aim to determine the timeline of these drawings.

A case of accidental death has been registered as further investigation continues.
