Water Resources Officers Nabbed in Rajasthan Bribery Scandal
Two officers from Rajasthan's Water Resources department were arrested by the Anti Corruption Bureau for accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000. The officers had initially demanded Rs 90,000 to issue a work order. They were caught in a trap laid by the ACB after the complaint verification.

Two officers from Rajasthan's Water Resources department were apprehended by the Anti Corruption Bureau on Monday for accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000.
According to DG ACB Raviprakash Meherda, Executive Engineer Ganpat Sharma and Additional Administrative Officer Gajendra Singh had initially demanded a bribe of Rs 90,000 from the complainant to issue a work order to his firm.
Following the verification of the complaint, a trap was set up, and the accused were caught in the act of accepting the bribe. The two men have been arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
