Kingpin Jagdish Singh Bhola Convicted in Punjab Drugs Money Laundering Case

A special PMLA court in Mohali, Punjab, has convicted 17 individuals in a major drugs-linked money laundering case, according to official sources.
Among those convicted is Jagdish Singh alias Bhola, a wrestler-turned-policeman turned ''drug mafia'', who has been sentenced to 10 years in prison alongside an accomplice, Avtar Singh Taro.
This case, involving a multi-crore synthetic narcotics racket unearthed during 2013-14, saw the Enforcement Directorate file charges against 24 people back in 2015. Bhola was arrested in January 2014, based on FIRs by Punjab Police.
