The Jharkhand Assembly erupted in heated debates on Tuesday as the JMM-led alliance and the opposition BJP clashed over the Supreme Court's decision regarding Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s bail.

The ruling coalition demanded an apology from the opposition after the Supreme Court dismissed a plea by the Enforcement Directorate that challenged a High Court order granting bail to Soren. The BJP, however, claimed that the CM was not yet acquitted in the money laundering case.

The intense exchanges interrupted the Question Hour, with lawmakers from both sides trading barbs. Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato eventually adjourned the session. Education Minister Baidyanath Ram addressed concerns on textbook distribution delays, citing the model code of conduct as the cause.
