Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday expressed grief over the loss of 57 lives due to landslides triggered by heavy rains in Kerala's Wayanad district.

''Deeply saddened by the catastrophic floods in Wayanad. My heart goes out to the affected families. Karnataka is committed to providing all possible help to Kerala in this challenging time. Let's stand united and strong,'' Siddaramaiah tweeted.

The landslides, caused by incessant heavy rainfall, have led to significant loss of life and property in the hilly district.
