Karnataka CM Urges Corporate Support for Wayanad Landslide Relief

Karnataka's Chief Minister Siddaramaiah seeks corporate aid for Wayanad district's landslide victims. Highlighting the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility, he calls for financial and logistical support to rebuild affected regions, emphasizing coordinated relief efforts. Over 132 people have died, with rescue operations ongoing.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has called on the corporate world to contribute generously to the relief and rehabilitation of people affected by massive landslides in Wayanad district, Kerala.

In a heartfelt appeal, Siddaramaiah emphasized the role of Corporate Social Responsibility in rebuilding the devastated areas. He underscored the need for financial support, logistics for relief operations, and supplies, including non-perishable food items and clothing.

'The scale of this disaster necessitates a coordinated and generous response from all sectors of society, especially from corporates who've always been pillars of aid in times of crisis,' Siddaramaiah stated in his letter.

The Karnataka government has set up a dedicated task force to effectively and transparently manage the relief efforts. Contributions are being solicited to provide immediate relief and assist in the long-term rehabilitation of the affected regions.
