Prominent Advocate Kanishk Mehrotra Fatally Shot at Home

Advocate Kanishk Mehrotra, 65, was fatally shot at his residence in the Kotwali area. Two unknown assailants, posing as clients, attacked him. He succumbed to his injuries at a Lucknow hospital. Police have formed three teams to track down the assailants, and local advocates have declared a work boycott until they are arrested.

In a shocking incident, prominent advocate Kanishk Mehrotra, 65, was fatally shot at his residence by unidentified assailants in the Kotwali police station area, police confirmed.

Police said two attackers arrived on a motorcycle under the guise of seeking legal assistance and shot Mehrotra. He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Lucknow but succumbed to his injuries.

SP Neeraj Kumar Jadaun revealed that CCTV footage is being reviewed to identify the assailants. Authorities have set up three teams to expedite the investigation and apprehension of the culprits. Meanwhile, local advocates have announced a boycott of work until the perpetrators are captured.
