UPSC Provisional Ban on Puja Khedkar Over Rule Violation

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has permanently debarred probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar from all future exams due to violations of CSE-2022 rules. Khedkar allegedly faked her identity for additional exam attempts. Despite given opportunities, she failed to provide a timely response to the allegations.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced on Wednesday that probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar has been permanently disqualified from all future examinations. Her provisional candidature has also been canceled due to violations of the Civil Services Examination (CSE)-2022 rules.

The UPSC stated that after careful examination of available records, Khedkar was found guilty of contravening the provisions of the CSE-2022 rules by fraudulently exceeding the permissible limit for exam attempts through identity falsification.

A show cause notice was issued to Khedkar on July 18, to which she initially requested more time to respond. Despite being granted a final opportunity to respond by July 30, she failed to comply within the prescribed timeframe, leading to her permanent debarment.
