On Wednesday, the Delhi High Court lambasted Delhi Police for what it called a 'strange probe' involving an SUV driver, Manuj Kathuria, arrested in connection with the tragic drowning of three IAS aspirants at a coaching center.

Despite the high court's stinging rebuke, Kathuria's bail plea was later rejected by Judicial Magistrate Vinod Kumar.

The case has raised serious questions about the accountability of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) officials, as the high court suggested potential oversight by a central agency and summoned key officials for further investigation.
