A devastating fire erupted at the Delhi Police impounding yard in Wazirabad on Friday, damaging at least 125 seized vehicles, officials said.
Seven fire tenders swiftly arrived at the scene after receiving an emergency call at 2.49 pm, according to a Delhi Fire Services official. The blaze was brought under control shortly thereafter.
About 60 four-wheelers and 65 two-wheelers were affected, said a senior police officer, adding that all vehicles involved are case properties of the west district. An investigation to determine the cause of the fire is ongoing.
