The incident occurred on Friday evening outside the centre, falling within the precincts of the Nai Mandi police station. On receiving a distress call, a police team promptly arrived at the scene, where they began their investigation, stated Superintendent of Police (City) Satyanarayan Prajapat.

Authorities identified and detained two suspects, Shobhit and Ujjwal, confiscating their motorcycle. However, a third alleged harasser remains at large as the search continues, according to police sources. Witness accounts revealed that three masked men on motorcycles harassed and threatened the schoolgirls, leading to a swift police response.
