Delhi to Streamline Property Registration with NGDRS by 2025

Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has mandated the registration of all properties in the city with the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) by January 2025, Raj Niwas officials announced on Saturday.
The NGDRS, now operational in all 22 sub-registrar offices in the national capital, aims to streamline the property registration process, enhance transparency, reduce processing time, and curb fraud and corruption, officials stated.
With more than 2.31 lakh properties already registered, officials have been instructed to register all remaining properties by the 2025 deadline and integrate the system with the property databases of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
