BJP Delegation Meets Rape Survivor's Family, Urges Higher Compensation

A three-member BJP delegation met with the family of a 12-year-old rape survivor in Ayodhya on Sunday, pressing the Uttar Pradesh government to increase compensation from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.

Rajya Sabha MP Sangeeta Balwant Bind, who was part of the delegation, expressed her outrage upon hearing the girl's ordeal. She alleged that the accused, Moid Khan, had committed similar offenses before. The meeting included Rajya Sabha MP Baburam Nishad and UP Minister of State Narendra Kashyap, who gathered information and will report to BJP's OBC Morcha President K Laxman.

The BJP leaders emphasized that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath supports the survivor like a father. They accused the Samajwadi Party of backing the accused and urged immediate government action, including enhanced security measures for the victim's family.
