A 12-year-old gangrape survivor from Ayodhya has been transferred to King George's Medical University in Lucknow for more comprehensive medical care, an official revealed on Monday.
The transfer was necessitated because the women's hospital in Ayodhya lacks the facilities required for her adequate treatment, said the district's Chief Medical Officer, Sanjay Jain.
Jain mentioned that he will accompany the girl during her transit to Lucknow. Meanwhile, BJP leaders, including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, have claimed that the prime accused, Moid Khan, is connected to the Samajwadi Party and part of Faizabad MP Awadhesh Prasad's team, fueling political tensions.
