Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Faces Allegations in Mysuru Site Allotment 'Scam'

In a significant development, a private complaint was filed on Thursday against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, alleging his involvement in a site allotment 'scam' in Mysuru. The complaint was lodged in the Special Court for Elected Representatives.
Snehamai Krishna, a Mysuru-based activist, has accused the Chief Minister of misusing his powers in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority site allotment. Krishna is now seeking a court directive for an investigative inquiry by either the CBI or an independent agency.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, reacting to the complaint, stated that he has the ''strength to reply to false complaints.'' Addressing reporters in Mysuru, he asserted, "False cases can't stand before the law."
