17 Indian Workers Evacuated from Unrest in Bangladesh

Seventeen Indian workers, who were stranded in Bangladesh due to ongoing unrest, have been safely evacuated by the Border Security Force (BSF). This information was shared by an official on Thursday.

Upon receiving a distress call on Wednesday evening, BSF Tripura Frontier IG Patel Piyush Purusottam Das promptly acted to address the situation. The workers were stuck at their camp in Ramrail and needed safe passage to ICP Akhaura, a request that was made to the BSF.

In a well-coordinated operation, the BSF collaborated with the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) to facilitate the safe movement of the 17 AFCONS workers. The BGB played a pivotal role in ensuring their journey to ICP Agartala, where they were processed through customs and immigration before being officially handed over to the BSF late at night.
