High-Level Committee Formed to Address Indo-Bangladesh Border Crisis

India's government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has constituted a high-level committee to monitor the situation along the Indo-Bangladesh border in the wake of significant unrest in Bangladesh. This was announced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday.
The committee, spearheaded by the Additional Director General of Border Security Force's Eastern Command, will coordinate with Bangladeshi authorities to ensure the safety and security of Indian nationals, Hindus, and other minority communities residing in Bangladesh, according to Shah's post on X.
Apart from the ADG, the committee includes senior officials from the BSF, the Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI), and is tasked with maintaining constant communication with Bangladesh to manage the border situation effectively.
